Flat Roofs
Flat roofs are low-pitch roofs designed around a continuous waterproof layer rather than overlapping tiles. Common systems include EPDM rubber, GRP fibreglass and modern reinforced felt / membrane systems.
How it works
Although called flat, the roof should normally include a fall so water drains towards outlets or gutters. The waterproof layer is installed over a suitable deck, with insulation and vapour control arranged according to the warm-roof or cold-roof design.
Important: The right specification depends on the property, roof pitch, exposure, structure and existing roof condition. A site inspection is the best way to confirm the correct system.

What affects the lifespan of a roof?
